Meet Our Team
Hi and thanks for stopping by. In 1995 I left the business world to follow a call to vocational ministry, that started out as a worship leader in Guymon, OK and culminated in the planting of Faith Community Church.
My wife Virginia and I co-pastor here at Faith Community Church which we officially started on March 28, 2004. We landed in Jacksonville with our three kids in December of 2000, but as of August 2014 we are "empty nesters." Our oldest daughter, her husband and our only grandson live here in St. Johns. Our oldest son and his wife live in Livermore, California while our youngest son and his wife live in Nashville, Tennessee.
I love the outdoors, whether it is hiking in the mountains or fishing. I also love REAL Chicago pizza and Chicago sports (particularly the Bears), although I have been known to pull for the Jags.
Hello & thanks for checking out FCC! Our family of 5 moved here in December 2000 to plant this church and I have grown to love serving the FCC family and our community here in Saint Johns Florida! I co-pastor here along with my husband Wayne.
In addition to pastoral ministry, I continue to work part-time in the accounting field. I'm the Director of Estate Planning and Compliance for Tembo, CPA in St. Augustine. I enjoy my home office here in Saint Johns and the flexibility to juggle both ministry and accounting - without the "fuss" of the C.R. 210 traffic!
When I have time to relax, I like to head to the beach - especially with a good book! But I have to admit that my favorite pastime is playing with my grandsons or simply being with my kids.
William, alongside his wife Sarah, came to FCC in the summer of 2016.
Originally from Northern Ireland, William moved to the states in 2015 after falling in love with Georgia girl Sarah, while completing part of her Masters degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary at William’s home church.
They are parents to twin girls Katie and Madison and puppy parents to Marshall, a lovable hound dog with an eye for squirrels and taste for peanut butter. When William is not leading worship or fulfilling his church communication roles he loves to hone his photography and graphic design skills, watch his beloved Manchester United, listen to music way too loud and enjoy a round of disc golf.
His love language is Diet Coke.
Heather and her husband Brian have called Florida home for the past 10 years. They are a Navy family who transferred from the west coast to our area and eventually found their way to FCC in 2015.
Originally from Arkansas, Heather grew up in the Nazarene church and attended Trevecca Nazarene University where she graduated with a bachelors in Information Technology. In 2016, Heather went back to school, enrolling in Nazarene Bible College in an effort to obtain her bachelors in Bible & Theology. She is expected to graduate in the summer of 2020.
They have 2 children, Eden and Dallas, and a small zoo (2 dogs, 4 cats, and 3 rabbits). She and Brian have found their passion in loving and leading youth and helping to raise a generation who will change the world for Jesus Christ.
In her free time Heather enjoys reading, gardening, watching college football, or following her favorite baseball team (Go Cards).
Melissa is our children’s ministry director, ministering to those from infants through 4th grade. She began attending FCC with her family in the 1st grade.
A local to the St.Johns area, she graduated from Bartram Trail High School in 2016. She is currently pursuing a degree in nursing.
When asked after graduation whether she planned to focus more on nursing or on her passion for children hearing the good news of Jesus, she simply says “Why not both?”.
She has experience as a children’s camp speaker and a history of 7 years of service with FCC Kids Ministries. Her favorite event of the year is our front yard Vacation Bible School “Go Clubs” where we share the gospel in local 210 neighborhoods.
Dancing to worship and her signature game “sink or float” make her the happiest. When she’s not hitting the books studying for school or prepping the next big thing in FCC Kids, she enjoys working out, soaking up the sunshine, and spending time with friends. A fun fact about Melissa is that she has donated 36 inches of hair total to locks of love.
Hi! I’m Sarah Robinson, associate pastor of FCC, wife to William and parents to twin girls Katie and Madison. I grew up in Wrightsville, Georgia and felt the call into ministry at a very young age. I attended Kentucky Mountain Bible College and Nazarene Theological Seminary to study intercultural ministry.
After serving together in Kansas City and Saipan, my husband and I moved to St. John’s in 2016 to minister at FCC.He is the worship pastor and I serve as an associate pastor, mainly working with Women’s ministries and missions.
My “day job” is working at our local library, where I love meeting new friends and being surrounded by books all the time! I also enjoy spending time in the outdoors in local parks and beaches, reading, playing Catan with friends and playing with our adorable puppy Marshall.
Jessica moved to the St. Johns area in the 8th grade and has been a part of FCC from the very beginning. She attended Switzerland Point Middle School and met her future husband, Ryan, as a freshman at Bartram Trail High School.
Jessica first sensed a calling to vocational ministry at the age of nine and has been a leader at FCC since she was a teenager. She obtained a bachelor's degree in Bible/Theology from Nazarene Bible College and served as FCC's youth pastor for 2.5 years before moving to Nashville to study counseling at Trevecca Nazarene University. She and Ryan returned to the St. John's area in 2013 before the birth of their son Isaac. In 2015 she came back on staff at FCC as the Discipleship Pastor and was ordained in the Church of the Nazarene two years later.
Jessica is passionate about making disciples of Jesus who make disciples of Jesus. She has spent years studying Jesus' methods for doing this and is continually experimenting with innovative ways to replicate the discipleship ministry of Jesus in her current cultural context. Because of this, she values a more intensive, individualized approach to discipleship that takes place in the context of an extended spiritual family on a shared mission.
Ryan and Jessica both own their own small businesses that serve as vehicles for ministering to their community outside the walls of the church. Ryan runs the 210 School of Music (www.210som.com) out of their home in St. Johns and Jessica owns www.premierweddingpastorsjax.com where she designs and officiates highly customized wedding ceremonies for couples who do not have a pastor or church home.
She is a voracious reader, podcast listener, and Goodwill shopper. In their free time, you are likely to find Ryan and Jessica playing board games with their neighbors and housemate or enjoying coffee and live music (preferably at the same time).
